Founded over 180 years ago by Raphael Lock, the Ertingen-based company has been managed by Frank Lock, the 5th generation of the family, since 2002. The robust and safe drive technology is the first choice worldwide in the industrial sector - especially with solutions for lifting and positioning tasks.
In addition to independent sales and service partners, the company's global network includes its own subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the USA and China. This enables Lock to offer expert advice, high delivery performance and local service. Among other things, this has an impact on the high level of customer satisfaction. The vertical range of manufacture is extremely high, with quality and reliability enjoying a particularly high priority. This is demonstrated, among other things, by the key figures recorded for delivery capability and delivery reliability.
The change of name from Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH to Lock GmbH in 2023 will further emphasise Lock's broader range of services and technological diversity. With its newly founded business units Lock Drives, Lock ProSystems and Lock SmartSolutions, Lock GmbH now offers a wide range of drive, positioning and automation solutions.
Lock Drives is the original division of Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH, a company founded 180 years ago by Raphael Lock, and led by Frank Lock since 2002. Known for their durability and self-locking features, Lock’s high-quality manual and electric drives are a preferred choice for garden and stable construction projects around the world.
Lock SmartSolutions specializes in digital tools for stables and greenhouses. The SBE digital control system enables users to manage elements like irrigation and ventilation remotely, via smartphone or tablet, streamlining work processes.
